Overview
The FLYCAM Vista-II turns a handheld stabilizer such as the FLYCAM Redking into a body-worn, Steadicam-style system. Its dual-section, CNC-machined aluminium arm carries up to 15 kg (33 lb) through two interchangeable spring sets — blue for 2–6 kg rigs and red for 6–15 kg — with a tension knob to dial in lift for the exact build. The springs soak up footfalls and vertical bounce, so the sled keeps floating while you walk, run or take stairs.
The vest spreads that load across the shoulders, chest and hips through a padded, breathable shell with a four-point buckle system and quick pull-pin adjustment, and fits waists from 28" to 60". An adjustable arm-to-vest connector sets the arm angle for each operator. FLYCAM sells the Vista-II with the Redking as a matched system — the pairing we recommend.

Compared with FLYCAM’s lighter Galaxy arm & vest, the Vista-II carries 50% more payload, offers a heavier spring range and reaches further with a longer arm. In short, it flies the Redking with a full 7 kg camera build — and never has to work at its limit to do it.

* Approximate total on the arm: a production-ready camera build (lens, media, battery and monitor) plus a stabilizer sled and its counterweights. Weigh your own build before choosing springs. Galaxy figures are for the current 22 lb model.
- Fit the vest before flying anything: snug at the hips and chest, with the arm socket sitting at hip height.
- Weigh the whole flying rig — sled, camera, lens, battery and monitor — and fit the spring set that suits it.
- Set spring tension so the arm floats level mid-travel, then rebalance whenever the camera build changes.
- Rest the rig on a docking stand between takes and remove the sled before taking off the vest.
